No, that’s not Duncan above – (Duncan has a recently acquired an incriminating photograph of me and so this is a preemptive strike before he posts with devastating effect (we’re talking D-I-V-O-R-C-E here!).
Anyway, still on the subject of animation (hence the cartoon image). I heard Richard Williams on BBC Radio 4 (you can listen to the programme here) a while ago. Richard Williams is the man who was responsible for Jessica Rabbit in ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ but he has a long and distinguished career in the motion picture animation world. He also struck me as a very nice bloke when listening to him on the BBC programme.
Now, Richard has written a book called The Animator’s Survival Book but he has now also produced a set of instructional DVDs which, at £634.00 for the 16 DVD set will only attract people with a serious interest in animation. I have, however, bought his book (around £17) and it does make fascinating reading (even if you’re not into animation).
PS……worth looking at the animation on Richard web page…..brilliant!
PPS…anyone with the christian name Richard can’t be bad!
